In Indonesia, the school year ends in June and a new one starts in July so the holidays are very short! During the monthly distribution in early May, we measure the children so that the necessary uniforms can be made during the school year:
- Their school uniform
- Their uniform for “scouting” activities
- Mandatory traditional clothing for every Thursday
We will also provide their sports outfits but these will be purchased at each school so that individual school logos can be added.
The monthly distribution is also an opportunity to talk with children who are completing middle school and are due to move into the Singaraja residence the following school year.
In a few days, they will spend time at the residence to become acquainted with a new and very different life.
And just like every month, it is also a chance to meet all the children and sing and dance together!
